On our dashboards created in Dashboard Designer we can create hyperlinks to other reports related to particular KPIs on our scorecards.
There are two (or even more) possible ways of implementing this aim, so if you want your users to have the option of launching these reports, you can use one of the following ways:
- Creating hyperlinks as a property of KPI object and placed as a column in a scorecard object
- Creating a URL to link to upon clicking a KPI (using New Report view of type Web Page)
Creating hyperlinks in PerformancePoint Server 2007 scorecards as a property of KPI object and placed as a column in a scorecard object
In Dashboard Designer create KPI objects and place them into your scorecard.
For example a scorecard could be similar to that depicted below.
Figure 1. Scorecard in PerformancePoint Server 2007 Dashboard Designer
For each KPI you want to add a hyperlink to, create a Hyperlink Property.
To do it just click appropriate KPI object in Workspace Browser and on the Properties tab click on New Property button. In Property Type Selector select Hyperlink item and click OK.

Figure 3. Selecting Hyperlink type of KPI’s property
- In Custom Properties table enter the URL in Value column (insert a valid URL address to your report related to this KPI object). For example this URL address can refer to a Reporting Services report or a ProClarity report (published on PAS Server). Type the property name in the Name column (for example „View Report”).
The screenshot depicted in Figure 4 shows configured Hyperlink property for a KPI.

If you finish adding hyperlink properties to all KPI’s select your scorecard and from Details pane drag View report property and drop it on your scorecards columns. To refresh a view click Update (Figure 5)
Figure 5. Adding KPI’s Hyperlink properties to a scorecard
Create new dashboard with your scorecard and other web parts and deploy it on your SharePoint Site. User can go to particular report by clicking links on your scorecard. Every hyperlink can redirect to separate report – related to each KPI. Every report will be opened in the new window. The screenshot depicted in Figure 6 shows deployed dashboard with a scorecard and hyperlinks.

If you want to open reports in a web part on the same dashboard you have to use Web Page Report View. All necessary activities are available under the following link (on The Microsoft PerformancePoint Team Blog)
